Instruction Junction Equine
Clinics

Different types of clinics are offered and each topic can be adjusted to fit the needs of the riders
Rider Position and How It Effects Performance
The rider's position is broken down into simplified instructions. The focus of this clinic is to define the relationship between each body part and how it effects performance of rider and horse. Instructions are customized for each participant. Physical characteristics, horse conformation, and rider goals are taken into consideration. Clinics can be on the flat, jumping or therapeutic.
IEA and ISHA Clinics
There is an art to successful "catch" riding. How do you quickly evaluate the horse you are riding and know what type of horse he / she is? How can you hide mistakes made while riding? How do you adjust your position to work with your horse? These questions will be addressed in this clinic.

Mechanics of Therapeutic Instruction
Teaching equine therapy lessons can sometimes be challenging. Keeping the rider's attention, deescalating the rider, or "thinking outside the box" while teaching is the focus of this clinic. Rider's needs may change week to week and the question is: How do we adapt the lesson and still stay close to the lesson plan? This clinic can be facilitated with hypothetical situations, riders in the arena or a combination of both.
Mechanics of Jumping
The topics of this clinic include:
-The mechanics of finding a distance and how center of gravity affects stride and jumping form

-How rider characteristics and body position affect performance

-How horse conformation relates to performance
